nw3 to n6

i’ve made the move from gospel oak to archway road, swapped hampstead heath for highgate wood.

two great things about my new area:

SOUVENIR – a little boutique shop that sells these wonderful velvet cushions in the shape of foxes and greyhounds. all hand sewn and all made from vintage materials – i am desperate for one for Christmas.

QUARTERS CAFE – perfect coffee and 2 mins walk away.

diy Philip Lim diy

i diy-ed this bag a while ago but haven’t used it much. so i thought i’d try again with this inspo in mind…

1. i removed the straps.

2. attached velcro strips.

3. cut a leather rectangle in contrasting colour.

4. attached leather handle. et voila!

black bags…

we are loving black leather bags right now. on the left a rucksack, the right a shoulder bag. both with gold zip and buckle detail.

new in: ArtiZanna purse

i recently made this purse for my friend seonaid goody, a leather version of her favorite and much much used receptacle. this little number was quite hard to hand over i must admit.

shameless gifts to myself… well perhaps necessities. i’ve been longing for a warm tartan winter scarf, and i picked this up in Liberty a few days ago. it is perfect, wide enough to use as a cosy shawl on long haul flights (i’m off to America next week) and the caramel and grey mix match my other winter accessories beautifully.

and these black mesh shoes were a massive bargain from H&M, ideal with my Temperley skirt for concerts… there. autumn must-haves.

so the minibag (minaudière) trend is cute, especially since it means a ‘coquettish woman’ from the verb ‘ to simper’. i might have to bling this guy up a bit though. only one problemo; it’s too small for my phone….also loving my new pleated front trews from Acne.

clip clip slide

i searched for this old fashioned slide for ages, and eventually my lovely friend patricia found one for me to add to my collection. perfect for the current barrette trend.
